 CHOICE SOFTWARE SYSTEMS LTD. ANNOUNCES STRATEGIC ALLIANCE
 CALGARY, Alberta, May 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Choice Software Systems Ltd. announced that a strategic alliance has been entered into with Hero Systems Limited to market Hero's computer hardware with Choice's Retail Systems/2(TM) software.
 Forty-nine percent owned by Sumitomo Corporation of Japan and headquartered in London, Hero Systems has an extensive dealer network throughout the United Kingdom, Europe, Far East, Middle East and Australia.
 Managing Director Pat Brigg of Hero Systems expands on why Choice Software Systems Ltd. Retail Systems/2(TM) has been selected for the Hero Terminal: "We have a very unique and advanced point-of-sale terminal. Traditionally we have marketed to the hospitality industry and have been very successful. And now through our marketing alliance with Choice Software Systems Ltd., the entire marketplace in the world is open to us."
 Brigg sites some of the reasons why he feels so strongly about marketing with Retail Systems/2(TM). The Hero terminal or (Pad) is very compact and full of functionality. Retail Systems/2(TM) brings out the full power of the terminal utilizing data base technology and the power incorporated in the Unix operating system. The Hero Terminal is a data entry device at the P.O.S. and moves the information, real time, to Retail Systems/2(TM) Merchandise Management System.
 The Hero terminal utilizing Retail Systems/2(TM) is extremely easy to configure and will meet the need of 90-95 percent of all retails in the world today.
 In addition to point-of-sale, Retail Systems/2(TM) has a powerful inventory control module and purchasing and receiving module. Information flows from point-of-sale into a fully integrated accounting system including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Ledger.
 Unlike other retail software on the market today, Retail Systems/2(TM) was built around the accounting. All necessary financial and audit trail are incorporated into the program.
 Because of its communications ability Retail Systems/2(TM) offers distributed processing capabilities. Information processed in store can be moved to and analyzed in conjunction with huge distribution systems providing buyers, marketers and operational people with in the information needed to make concise timely decisions.
