CHIP OFF THE OLD ROCK; Rod's boy gets into the swing.

ROCKER Rod Stewart's toddler son stole the show yesterday with a musical display.

Sweet little rock 'n' stroller Alastair gave the first hints he might have inherited inherited

The one-year-old was with mum Penny Lancaster Penny Lancaster Stewart (born in Chelmsford, Essex, England, on March 15, 1971) is an English model and photographer. She is 6ft 1 inches tall.

She has been married to the rock singer Rod Stewart since June 16, 2007 [1]
, 35, who was launching a London radio station's Christmas charity appeal.

Dad Rod wasn't at the event but Alastair seemed determined to entertain the Christmas shopping crowds at Bluewater in Kent.

One onlooker said: "Alastair's such a beautiful little boy. He was very photogenic photogenic /pho·to·gen·ic/ (-jen´ik)

 and obviously takes that from his mum.

"But going by his talent for performing and how he drew the crowd, Alastair could definitely go down the same route as his famous father."

Penny was there to lend her support to Capital Radio's Help A London Child Christmas charity appeal.

In a recent interview with the Record, Rod was asked if he'd like to see Alastair become a singer.

He said: "I wouldn't say no. Whatever makes him happy."
