CHINACOAT 2004 records over 19,000 attendees.

Organized by Sinostar International Ltd., Hong Kong, the annual CHINACOAT event was held in the newly built Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center in Guangzhou, P.R. China on November 9-11, 2004.

A range of products used in the production of coatings and printing inks, and adhesives were presented in the 8241 square meters of space filled by 450 exhibiting companies from over 26 countries and regions. The total number of attendees reportedly increased from 18,099 in the previous year to 19,089, almost 10% of which was represented by international attendees.

In addition to the expo, a one-day conference entitled "Exterior Coatings for Masonry and Concrete" was held on November 8 at the China Hotel by Marriott. Designed to explore technical solutions with a focus on progressive technologies and compositions, the conference reported 400 participants. A series of exhibitor seminars were also held parallel to the show and attracted over 3500 invited attendees.
