 yesterday rang out to his antireligious anthem, Imagine.

Hundreds of people gathered to hear the tune of the 1971 song, which begins "Imagine there's no Heaven", chime chime, in music: see bell.  from the

Anglican Cathedral. The former Beatle, murdered in New York in 1980, described the song as "antireligious" but Liverpool Cathedral said it had considered the "sensitivities" involved.

Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono said the idea was "beautiful".
