 Saturday was expected to ease today, with only a slight chance of showers forecast - although chilly conditions should prevail.

Temperatures in the region today likely will range from the mid-30s to lower 40s, with winds at 15 to 20 mph. Snow levels could get down to the 4,000 foot level.

``We're getting rains early,'' said Curt Kaplan, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Oxnard. ``Be prepared if you live in low-lying areas. There could be some flooding.''
