 Children's Choir Christmas Show.

Seventy children ages 6 through 16 will perform an assortment of holiday songs from around the world in Latin, English, German and other languages under the direction of Wayne Wilson Wayne MacArthur Wilson (born September 4, 1957 in Montgomery County, Maryland) is a former professional American football player in the NFL who played running back for nine seasons for the New Orleans Saints, Minnesota Vikings, and Washington Redskins. .

``It's family-oriented. There should be something for everyone,'' said Wilson. ``It ranges from very, very fun to very, very serious.''

Pieces to be performed include ``Light the Candle,'' a Hanukkah song; ``Illumina Oculos Meos,'' a Spanish song meaning ``Light Up My Eyes'' that will be performed a cappella a cap·pel·la

; and a German folk carol named ``Kling Glockchen,'' which means ``Ring the Bells'' in English.

``Kling Glockchen'' will be performed with the Lancaster United Methodist Church United Methodist Church, in the United States, religious body formed by the union in 1968 of the Evangelical United Brethren Church and the Methodist Church (see Methodism).  Bells of Praise bell choir. The Bells of Praise bell choir will also perform some solo pieces.

`` 'Twas One Crazy Night Before Christmas'' - a musical spoof - will also be performed by the children's choir. Its musical selections include ``Love That Martha Stewart,'' ``Touchdown in the Kitchen,'' and ``Will the Real Santa Claus Stand Up.''

This is the third year for the choir, which is part of the Antelope Valley Master Chorale chorale (kōrăl`, –räl`), any of the traditional hymns of the German Protestant Church. The form was developed after the Reformation to replace the plainsong of the earlier service and as a means of congregational participation in . Membership in the choir is by audition only, according to Wilson.

``It's a performing honor choir,'' said Wilson. ``They're very, very talented kids vocally.''

The Christmas show will be at 6 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Lancaster United Methodist Church, 918 W. Ave. J. Tickets are $5 per person.
