) today announced financial results for its second quarter and six months ended June 30, 1996.

The company reported revenues of $1,331,467 for the second quarter ending June 30, 1996, compared to revenues of $1,404,272 for the second quarter ended June 30, 1995.

After accounting for corporate charges, depreciation and amortization, and interest expense, the company reported a net loss for the quarter of $1,706,411 or $(0.47) per share, compared to a net loss of $1,073,483 or $(0.40) per share, for the quarter ended June 30, 1995.

Revenues for the six months ended June 30, 1996, were $2,547,490, down from $2,666,102, for the six months ended June 30, 1995. The net loss for the period was $3,582,284, or $(0.98) per share, compared to a net loss of $2,511,861, or $(0.93), for the comparable year-ago period.

, president and chief executive officer of Children's Broadcasting Corporation, stated, "Second quarter, typically a slower radio sales quarter, was highlighted by continued progress and success on a local sales level with our AAHS(TM) Direct program. With an increased focus on reducing trade/barter revenues, the AAHS(TM) Direct stations including Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850. , Dallas, Minneapolis, Denver and Kansas City Kansas City, two adjacent cities of the same name, one (1990 pop. 149,767), seat of Wyandotte co., NE Kansas (inc. 1859), the other (1990 pop. 435,146), Clay, Jackson, and Platte counties, NW Mo.
