Very recently born. n. A neonate. . Wanting to share the perils of traveling with a baby, Anderson made notes on her experience and later wrote an article that she promptly sold to a magazine. When it came time to write her first book, Anderson's inspiration once again came from her daughter, by then in preschool. As a member of the preschool's library committee, Anderson founded a guest readers program as an opportunity for community leaders to choose books and stories related to their occupations, hobbies It may never be fully completed or, depending on its its nature, it may be that it can never be completed. '' she said. Anderson's first book explains how to organize a guest reader program as a fun and effective way for educators and parents to motivate youngsters to read. The book highlights stories, games, demonstration ideas, songs and activities that those in a given vocation or profession might enjoy reading and leading. ``At the time, I hadn't heard of anything like that. It just wasn't done,'' she said. Anderson's idea caught on, and her publisher asked her to write a sequel for older children. ``Writing the second book was really not a problem.
