Father's Day turned tragic when a 14-month-old girl was fatally injured in·jure

 Sunday when her father accidentally ran over her in the family's back yard with a trailer he was moving.

Catelyn Mae Williams died shortly after 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Kern Kern, river, 155 mi (249 km) long, rising in the S Sierra Nevada Mts., E Calif., and flowing south, then southwest to a reservoir in the extreme southern part of the San Joaquin valley. The river has Isabella Dam as its chief facility.  Medical Center in Bakersfield, about 5-1/2 hours after the accident occurred in the 21600 block of Foothill Drive.

The father was putting things in the pickup truck and was apparently going to move the truck and trailer to the right side of the house, said Jim Malouf, Kern County Coroner chief investigator.

``He entered the pickup, started the engine, put the vehicle in gear, looked around, and then began driving,'' Malouf said.

After driving about 5 to 10 feet, he heard a scream, Malouf said. He stopped and discovered that the child had run between the truck and the trailer, Malouf said.

``It is tragic,'' Campbell said. ``It occurs more often than people realize with little kids, whether it's in the driveway, out in the streets or wherever. You have to know where your kids are at all times when they are that young.''
