The fair gave local businesses and organizations the opportunity to showcase their kid-friendly services. Parents, on the other hand, took advantage of the multiple free activities for their children.

``There's a lot of stuff for the children around here,'' she said.

This is the club's first time at Kid's Discovery Day, said Linda Schmitt, the group's membership director.

``It's a nice day, it's a short amount of time,'' Schmitt said. ``This is so cool.''

Carol Magorien of Camarillo brought her daughter Kristine, 3, to the park for the day. Kristine liked the pony and the playground.
