The talented amateur chefs left wielding their wooden spoons from the original eight are Jan Wilson Jones from Ruthin, Anna Brown from Kidwelly and Nesta Treharne from Pontarddulais. As they prepare to do battle for the coveted prize of a course at Raymond Blanc's famous cookery school and hotel in Oxfordshire Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons is a luxury hotel-restaurant in the village of Great Milton near Oxford, England. Nesta Definitely the highlight for me was the bouillabaisse festival where they made a huge bouillabaisse (fish soup) in a massive cauldron and then lifted it by crane onto a bonfire. Jan I really enjoyed making the fish in champagne sauce. There was just the two of us in the kitchen with Renee and I got a lot out of that from a cooking point of view. My husband has a heart problem so I cook plain healthy food and save the cream sauces for guests Jan My mum and the late Robert Hunter, a local restaurant owner who was trained by the Roux brothers. I went on one of his courses and he gave me confidence to try things. Anna My mum, she was a superb cook and any success I've had has to be attributed to her. I also did a bit at catering college 26 years ago but not much.
