), Cheyenne Software KK, and Hitachi, Ltd. today announced that they have agreed to cooperate for the distribution of Cheyenne ARCserve, the leading backup solution for the distributed enterprise.

 the agreement, Hitachi will bundle the Japanese version of ARCserve 6 for NetWare and ARCserve for Windows NT (Windows New Technology) A 32-bit operating system from Microsoft for Intel x86 CPUs. NT is the core technology in Windows 2000 and Windows XP (see Windows). Available in separate client and server versions, it includes built-in networking and preemptive multitasking. , and the English version of ARCserve for Windows NT with Hitachi's FLORA line of desktop, laptop, and server personal computers. FLORA computer systems including Cheyenne ARCserve backup software are immediately available. Discussions are under way to include other Cheyenne products in the FLORA solution in the future.
