``Some days some things just don't go right,'' said Green, who was clearly affected by the injury on her landing foot. She surrendered the runs on a walk to Codie Richards and a wild pitch to Tiffany Meadows.

``She was totally in control until then,'' Simi Valley coach Suzanne Manlet said. ``She was obviously having a lot of trouble putting pressure on it. But that's not the reason we lost. We just didn't swing our sticks today. I was very disappointed with our offense.''

Jaime Astorino pitched the rest of the way for the Pioneers.
