) today announced that second quarter earnings per share increased 50% over the same period in the prior year. The Company also announced that earnings per share for the first half of fiscal 1996 increased 57% over the comparable period a year ago.

Net income for the quarter, which ended December December: see month.  31, 1995, was $1,821,000, or $.33 per share, compared with $1,144,000, or $.22 per share, for the same quarter a year ago. Worldwide sales for the quarter, which comparatively benefited from a February 1995 business acquisition, increased 35% to $20.9 million from $15.5 million in the second quarter of the prior year. The impact of changes in foreign currency exchange rates on reported revenue growth for the quarter was immaterial Not essential or necessary; not important or pertinent; not decisive; of no substantial consequence; without weight; of no material significance.
