CHEMFAB CORPORATION ANNOUNCES MAJOR EUROPEAN EXPANSION.

MERRIMACK, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 14, 1995--Chemfab Corporation (OTC: CMFB) today announced that it has entered into an agreement to purchase the Tygaflor fluoropolymer products business of the Advanced Materials Division of Courtaulds Aerospace Ltd. for approximately $15.1 million (9.7 million pounds) in cash at closing. Courtaulds Aerospace is a subsidiary of Courtaulds plc of London, England. Closing is expected to occur on or about Feb. 20, 1995.

Tygaflor, based in Littleborough, Lancashire, England, is a leading European manufacturer and marketer of fluoropolymer-based composite materials and fabricated products for a broad range of industrial applications. Upon completion of the acquisition, Tygaflor's operations will be combined with those of CHEMFAB's existing United Kingdom Company, Chemfab U.K. Ltd., and operated from the Littleborough site as a wholly-owned subsidiary under the name Chemfab Tygaflor Ltd. As a stand-alone business, Tygaflor has annual sales totaling approximately $10.5 million (6.7 million pounds).

Commenting on the acquisition, Duane C.
