CHECKPOINT SOFTWARE TAPS DEBORAH TRIANT AS U.S. PRESIDENT AND CEO; Former Adobe, Sun Microsystems Executive Strengthens Management Team of Firewall Market Leader.

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 17, 1995--CheckPoint Software Technologies, Ltd., the market leader in Internet security software, today named Dr. Deborah Triant president and chief executive officer of CheckPoint Software Technologies, Inc., its U.S.-based subsidiary. With more than fifteen years of experience in the software industry, Triant will assume responsibility for worldwide sales, marketing and business development for CheckPoint's industry-leading FireWall-1(tm). Triant will be based at CheckPoint's new U.S. headquarters in the Silicon Valley and will report to Gil Shwed, president and CEO of CheckPoint Software Technologies, Ltd.

Triant joins CheckPoint from Adobe Systems Incorporated, where she served as vice president of marketing. At Adobe, Triant established Adobe Acrobat as the market-leading solution for electronic document exchange and as an emerging standard on the Internet. Prior to Adobe, Triant spent three years at Sun Microsystems, Inc., where she was president and chief executive officer of its subsidiary, Sitka Corporation.
