Look for them in packages of five, 10 or 15 Peeps, with suggested retail ranging from 55 to 99 cents per package, in candy aisles of food, discount or drug stores.

More for your money

You're getting a real bargain at supermarkets these days. First quarter 1998 food prices were the lowest since the second quarter of 1996, according to the American Farm Bureau's quarterly Marketbasket survey. The first-quarter average price of 16 selected food items from 37 states was $31.91, down from $32.40 and $32.92 in the previous two quarters. The largest savings was in pork, where pork chops and bacon prices fell an average of 24 cents.
