LANCASTER - Classic rock group Cheap Trick Cheap Trick is an American rock band from Rockford, Illinois, that gained popularity in the late 1970s. The band consists of Robin Zander (vocals, guitar), Rick Nielsen (guitar, vocals), Tom Petersson (bass guitar, vocals), and Bun E. Cheap Trick will appear at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 28, the fair's sixth day, for a free show.

Seventies rockers who made a comeback in the 1990s, Cheap Trick had hits that included ``I Want You to Want Me,'' ``Surrender,'' ``Dream Police'' and ``Ain't That a Shame.''

Tickets are on sale for the other concerts at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds n. pl. 1. same as fairground. , 155 E. Ave. I, as well as at Ticketmaster outlets.

Tickets to the Aug. 23 Travis Tritt-Chely Wright and Aug. 26 Dwight Yoakam-Charlie Daniels concerts are $25, $20 and $15.

Tickets to Journey on Aug. 24 are $40, $25 and $20. The War performance is included with the admission price on the Aug. 25 One-Pay-Gate Day fee of $10, which includes carnival rides.

Milsap's Aug. 27 concert is free with regular fair admission on Seniors Day.

Themed ``A Fair to Remember,'' the Aug. 23-Sept. 2 fair will be the last held at the fairgrounds on Avenue I at Division Street. Next year's fair is expected to be held at the new grounds on Avenue H west of the Antelope Valley Freeway The Antelope Valley Freeway is a freeway in Los Angeles and Kern counties in southern California. It is signed as California State Highway 14 along its length. It connects Greater Los Angeles to the rapidly developing Antelope Valley. .

Fair admission is the same as last year: $6 for adults and $4 for seniors and children ages 6 to 15. Children under age 6 are admitted free.
