: FLYAF) announced today that its operating division Canadian Helicopters International ("CHI") has been awarded two new long-term and three short-term contracts.

In Southeast Asia Southeast Asia, region of Asia (1990 est. pop. 442,500,000), c.1,740,000 sq mi (4,506,600 sq km), bounded roughly by the Indian subcontinent on the west, China on the north, and the Pacific Ocean on the east. , CHC has been awarded a five-year (plus two optional years) contract in the Philippines, with an anticipated revenue of $27 million. CHI will provide two Sikorsky S-76A++'s in support of Shell's Malampaya Project (offshore gas production). Contract start is scheduled for February 1, 2000. CHC has also won two short-term exploration contracts in Southeast Asia, requiring one Sikorsky S-76A.

In addition, BP-AMOCO has renewed CHC's contract for one Sikorsky S-76A+ in Azerbaijan for another five years. The contract is valued at $15 million.

The United Nations has awarded CHC a one-year contract for one Bell 212 in support of its UNMIBH UNMIBH United Nations Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina  Mission in former Yugoslavia. This contract is valued at 2.5 million. This contract will also take effect on February 01, 2000.

"These contract awards represent over $45 million in revenue and reflect the success of CHC's strategy to provide extraordinary transportation services to long-term projects world-wide," said CHI President Christine Baird.
