That's what scouts are wondering. Reyes began the year as a probable first-round pick somewhere in the top 10. Questions about his health were alleviated with the solid performance against Oregon State. Now he'll get a chance to make a more important statement against the Cardinal, ranked second in the country.

``I think (last week) has to represent good news. It's 90-plus pitches (thrown),'' Gillespie said. ``It's got to be the weight of the world off his shoulders, because they saw what they had to see.'' ...
