CHATTER: MORE AWARDS GO TO OAKS CHRISTIAN DUO.Byline: Daily News Jimmy Clausen's trophy case is getting a little crowded. The Oaks Christian of Westlake Village quarterback, who led the Lions to the state Div. III championship, received the U.S. Army Player of the Year award Several sports leagues honor their best player with an award called Player of the Year. In the United States, this type of award is usually called a Most Valuable Player award. The awards with the "player of the year" phrasing include these. on Friday night at the All-American Bowl awards dinner in San Antonio. Clausen, Tyler and teammate Marshall Jones are among 11 California players on the West roster for the seventh annual U.S. Army All-American football game, scheduled for 10a.m. today at the Alamodome.
