CHATTER: LANCASTER FIRES BOYS' BASKETBALL COACH.Byline: Vincent Bonsignore and Gerry Gittelson Staff Writers Jesse Parker, who led Lancaster High to four consecutive Golden League titles from 2001-04, has been fired as boys' basketball coach. ``Basically the school decided to go in another direction,'' said Lancaster vice principal Todd Zucker. Parker will be replaced by former Canyon coach Dave Humphreys, who spent the past four seasons working as an assistant at various programs. Zucker said Humphreys' hire is pending school board approval. ``I think it's a great opportunity,'' Humphreys said. ``Last year was a little bit of a down year for them but all in all I think I can win,'' Humphreys said. ``They have the athletes, and I believe in what I can do on the court. We'll run more of a college-type offense.'' Parker declined comment. ...
