A slight dip in the Southern Section Div. I boys' water polo water polo, swimming game encompassing features of soccer, football, basketball, and hockey.  Long Beach Wilson in the semifinals, a matchup that wouldn't have occurred until the final if No. 4 Harvard-Westlake had maintained the top-three ranking it held most of the season.

The Wolverines have not won a section title since 1991, and Wilson has played a large part in the championship drought. Wilson has won eight of the past 10 titles, including two of the past three finals against Harvard-Westlake.

Despite the history and a Wilson lineup loaded with All-Americans, the Wolverines (23-3) aren't entirely disappointed.

``The good news is we don't have to face them at Belmont Plaza,'' Harvard-Westlake coach Rich Corso said, referring to Wilson's home pool, which is also the site of the section finals.

The Div. I semifinals are scheduled to be played Friday in Irvine. Harvard-Westlake, which was ranked as high as No. 1 this season, defeated Wilson 10-9 last month at Harvard-Westlake.

But before a potential rematch with the Bruins, the Wolverines must overcome Newport Harbor in the 3:15 p.m. quarterfinal at home. ...

KEVIN THOMAS Marvin Kevin Thomas (born July 28, 1978 in Phoenix, Arizona) is an American football cornerback in the NFL for the Buffalo Bills who was a standout football player at Rio Mesa High School in Oxnard, California, and the University of Nevada-Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Click here to view the league schedule.  singles championship and second overall title, after capturing the doubles crown as a freshman with Erin Everly Erin Invicta Everly (born November 8 1965 in Los Angeles ,California) is the daughter of Don Everly, and niece to Phil Everly from the Everly Brothers, and actress Venetia Stevenson. Her siblings are sister Stacy Everly and brother Edan Everly. . She split time between singles and doubles in the first two rounds of the Southern Section Div. I playoffs, winning five sets to improve her record to 33-0 for the undefeated and second-seeded Coyotes.

Harvard-Westlake Middle School

When the Harvard-Westlake High of Studio City boys' water polo team graduates the core of its lineup after this season, Eliot will be the type of newcomer the Wolverines can count on to keep the program among the elite. The 13-year-old eighth grader, who has been playing the sport for four years, is one of the most promising players for the Los Angeles Water Polo Club's 14-and-under team. Primarily a 2-meter player, he is working on becoming a driver to lend versatility at the next level.
