CHATTER: FRUSTRATED LITTLEROCK COACH RESIGNS.

Byline: Ross Siler Staff Writer

After watching four players transfer in his five years at Littlerock High, boys' basketball coach Ben Dale has resigned, citing his displeasure with Southern Section rules on the issue.

``I'm upset at the ease with which students can transfer from one school to another,'' Dale said. ``I'm very much disappointed with the whole situation, and it's started to affect my coaching.

``I need to disappear for a while until things change.''

Dale, whose team finished 10-16 this season, will teach Spanish at the new Knight High in Palmdale next year. He said he has no plans to assist Knight basketball coach Tom Hegre or coach anywhere in the near future.

In the past two years, Dale has lost two players to Golden League rival Highland of Palmdale. Senior forward Tim Anderson Tim Anderson may be:
  • Tim Anderson (Zork), game programmer
  • Tim Anderson, Australian criminal defendant in Sydney Hilton bombing, academic and activist
  • Tim Anderson (defensive back), American football player

Spottiswood has been dominating this year on the mound, but he also has provided help with his glove and his bat; he is hitting .298 with 8 RBI. Dominguez is a hard-throwing junior who splits pitching duties with Justin Cassel. He has been a starter since his freshman year.
