No sense in the timing

Can anyone explain the logic in scheduling a 3m race at 5.55pm on a Sunday Sunday: see Sabbath; week.  when betting shops close at 6pm? Until they start racing cheetahs (which wouldn't surprise me at the moment) the punters in my shop will still get upset when they switch the screens off at six.

Help me back Arc winner

Last year in The Arc, there were three horses by Montjeu running. I backed two of them, the one I didn't back won! This year there were three horses trained by Andre Fabre running. I backed two of them, the one I didn't back won! Suggestions for next year will be greatly received!
