BOSTWICK Staff Writers NORTHRIDGE -- A young Pacoima woman fleeing her ex-girlfriend in a 100 mph SUV chase was killed early Saturday when she sped through a red light and crashed into a Metro bus and two other vehicles, police said. The crash, which critically injured a firefighter on his way to work, occurred after 22-year-old Shayla Phillips frantically dialled 911 from her Lexus SUV, seeking help from police. ``She called and reported she was being chased by a former girlfriend of hers,'' Detective Joel R. Price said. At Reseda and Roscoe boulevards just after 6 a.m., Phillips' speeding Lexus SUV drove through a red light and slammed into the side of a pickup truck driven by the firefighter, who was heading to work at Station 73 eight blocks away. The SUV and truck slid across the intersection and hit the stopped bus and a Saab sedan. The impact flipped the firefighter's truck upside down and tore out its engine.
