CHARRED BODIES, CAR DISCOVERED IN CASTAIC RAVINE.

The burned bodies of two people missing since mid-March were discovered Thursday in a charred car in a ravine 150 feet below Lake Hughes Road Hughes Road is an arterial road in South Mumbai linking Opera House with Kemps Corner. To the left is Malabar Hill. , police said.

The car likely careened off the road, burst into flames and trapped the occupants inside, said Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  County sheriff's Lt. Larry Gump.

It is unknown how long the car has been in the ravine, Gump said. The wreckage was spotted Thursday when a sheriff's helicopter pilot passed overhead, officials said.

One of the two people in the car was from Lancaster and was reported missing March 16, Gump said. The other person was from Palmdale and had been missing since March 23.
