NEW YORK and WASHINGTON, D.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 22, 1995-- Charles T. Pinck, a leading expert in the use of public databases for corporate and other investigations, has joined The James Mintz Group, Inc. as a senior investigator, it was announced today.

Mr. Pinck, 30, was most recently director of research at the Detective Information Network, of Falls Church, Virginia, an investigative firm that provides on-line and other investigative services to corporations, small businesses and the general public. As such, he was featured last August in a lead business story in the New York Times, which described Mr. Pinck as a "gumshoe of cyberspace," as well as last May on National Public Radio's "All Things Considered."

Prior to joining the Detective Information Network, Mr. Pinck was an investigator with The Fairfax Group, Ltd., also of Falls Church, a firm specializing in corporate security; and, before that, was a senior analyst with The Research Group, one of the country's leading firms specializing in political opposition research.

The son of an OSS (Office of Strategic Services) intelligence officer who served behind enemy lines in China during World War II, Mr. Pinck began his career as issues director during the 1990 reelection campaign of Sen. Claiborne Pell (D-R.I.), a former chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
