CHARITY TAKES CONTROL OF MINERAL WATER COMPANY.


A NEW company has been formed by Bangor-based registered charity Agoriad Cyf after its takeover of a mineral water business.

Cerist Water is based at Llawr Cae, Dinas Mawddwy Dinas Mawddwy is a village in North Wales just to the side of the A470 so that most visitors pass the village by. The village marks the junction of the unclassified road to Llanuwchllyn which climbs up through the mountains to cross Bwlch y Groes at its highest point, the highest , south of Dolgellau Dolgellau (dôlgĕth`lī, –gĕl`ī), town (1981 pop. 2,321), Gwynedd, W Wales, on the Whion River at the northern foot of Cadair Idris. It is a market town and tourist center. .

Agoriad has taken over the mineral water business as part of the charity's policy of developing social enterprise projects.

It has formed Dwr Cerist Cyf with the objectives of developing the brand in North and mid Wales Mid Wales is the name given to the area of Wales between North Wales and South Wales. It borders England via the Welsh Marches to the east and the Irish Sea via Cardigan Bay to the west (West Wales is to the south-west).  and creating job opportunities in production, marketing and distribution. To date, a total of seven people with learning difficulties are involved in the day-to-day running of the business.

Agoriad chief executive Arthur Beechey said: "We are very excited about the future prospects of Dwr Cerist. Its teams seek the best opportunities and match these with appropriate training and after-placement monitoring, working alongside businesses to ensure a seamless transition into work for its clients. The charity provides a service across all six North Wales North Wales (known in some archaic texts as Northgalis) is the northernmost unofficial region of Wales, bordered to the south by Mid Wales and to the east by England.  counties and has regional offices in Pwllheli and Dolgellau.

Cerist Water was set up 20 years ago.
