CHARITABLE SPOOKS KID'S HAUNTED HOUSE SCARES UP DONATIONS.

Byline: Sharon Cotal Staff Writer

NEWHALL - Eleven-year-old twins Kyle and Kevin Scott have tried to convince their parents for the past five years to let them turn their garage into a Halloween haunted house A haunted house is defined as building that is believed to be a center for supernatural occurrences or paranormal phenomena.[1] A haunted house may contain ghosts, poltergeists, or even malevolent entities. .

And after finally getting permission this year, they've gotten their Hidden Valley neighborhood involved.

Rather than charging admission to their spook zone, the boys sought donations of canned goods and clothing that will be given to the needy.

``I know that they are always collecting at this time of year because of the holidays, so we handed out fliers in the neighborhood asking for people to bring a can of food or an article of clothing,'' their mother, Vicki Scott, said.

Over the weekend, neighbors contributed two boxes of canned foods canned food

The haunted house included a laboratory with a mad scientist, a graveyard, fake body parts and a flying skeleton. The kids from the neighborhood who visited had a great time and wanted to go through again and again, Vicki Scott said.

The clothing will be donated either to the Santa Clarita Santa Clarita, city (1990 pop. 110,642), Los Angeles co., S Calif., suburb 30 mi (48 km) NW of downtown Los Angeles, on the Santa Clara River; inc. 1987. But when they got back, they had some work to do.

``They all need to clean out this garage so their dad can park the car in here,'' Scott said.
