CHANIN AND CO. OPENS EAST COAST OFFICE

WESTPORT, Conn., Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Chanin and Co., one of the nation's leading financial advisors in distressed situations, announced the opening of its East Coast office in Westport, effective Nov. 1, 1993. Jeff Chanin, president of Chanin and Co., will be in charge of the office and will be joined initially by Thane Carlston, currently associated with Chanin and Co.'s West Coast office.
"This is merely a logical geographic extension of our national presence in the restructuring advisory business. Since 1990, we have completed over three dozen transactions nationwide, involving companies from the Northeast (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts), the Midwest (Illinois and Wisconsin), the South (Arkansas and Texas), and the West (California, Arizona, Washington, and Nevada)," stated Chanin. "Establishing an East Coast office will allow us to better service our existing client base, as well as enhance our ability to service companies and creditors on the East Coast," added Chanin.
The West Coast office will be headed by Skip Victor, Dan Harrow, and Russ Belinsky, who along with the other members of Chanin and Co. will continue to serve the firm's West Coast clients. With over a dozen transactions currently in progress, Chanin and Co. remains committed to providing its clients with the highest quality financial advice in the restructuring area.
