 CHANGES AT THE TOP OF BANK JULIUS BAER
 ZURICH, Switzerland, Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- The board of directors


of Bank Julius Baer, Zurich, has appointed Juergen Luethi to be president of the management committee with effect from March 4, 1993, the date of the next general meeting. He will succeed Hans J. Baer, who will then be elected chairman by the board of directors.
 The present chairman of the board of directors, Nicolas J. Baer, will reach the statutory retirement age in March 1993.
 At the same time Raymond J. Baer, currently a senior vice president in the New York Branch, will become a member of the Zurich Management Committee.
 Since Michael Ph. Baer and Christopher D. Baer have both recently joined Bank Julius Baer Zurich, all three branches of the Baer family now have representatives of the fourth generation working in the bank.
 Juergen Luethi (aged 52) has been at Bank Julius Baer since 1956. He was head of the Money Market, Foreign Exchange and Precious Metals Department from 1978 to 1990. He has been a member of the management committee since 1980. Juergen Luethi is a member of the board of directors of various Baer Group companies abroad.
 Raymond J. Baer (aged 33) studied at the University of St. Gallen and Columbia University, New York and was with Brown Brothers Harriman and Salomon Brothers Inc. for five years in New York and London before entering Bank Julius Baer in 1988. Raymond J. Baer is currently a senior vice president and member of the management committee of the New York Branch.
