The pounds 15,000-a-week keeper and his girlfriend Leah Shevlin weren't there to supervise, having flown out on holiday earlier this week.

They regularly entertained friends at noisy late-night get-togetherand police were called on at least one occasion.

McGregor's pounds 120,000 Bentley was also trashed with acid outside the property.

As they watched the removal men load up, neighbours couldn't hide their joy. One said: "We're glad to see the back of to get rid of.

McGregor hit the headlines over his colourful lifestyle and relationships with a series of WAGs before he got engaged to Leah in Dubai in May last year.

They got the house ready for the move early this week.

And they showed no sings of any strain in their relationship - despite weekend revelations that McGregor was out on the town in the company of other women while Leah was left home alone. The neighbour said: "She didn't seem bothered by anything that had been in the Sunday papers.

"She was out in the street just before they went on holiday, leaving some very nice furniture, including a table, paintings and vases, for the rubbish men.

"He has been trying to sell the house privately through an estate agent for some time and was looking for pounds 900,000 to secure a quick sale, although that would have meant a pounds 75,000 loss.

"There was talk of renting it out but the last time he spoke to anyone, he had no prospective tenants and he said that he had not bought anywhere else.

"The removal men said they were putting his stuff in storage, so we're all hoping he's moving away from Scotland.

"We'll certainly not be mourning his passing. We've been through quite enough, thank you very much."
