The Antelope Valley
 Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will attend the 24th Annual California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Convention and Business Expo Aug. 20-23 at the Manchester Grand Hotel in San Diego San Diego (săn dēā`gō), city (1990 pop. 1,110,549), seat of San Diego co., S Calif., on San Diego Bay; inc. 1850. San Diego includes the unincorporated communities of La Jolla and Spring Valley. Coronado is across the bay. .

This year's theme, ``A New Generation - Creating Opportunities, Access & Wealth,'' describes the goals and visions of what the CHCC CHCC Cooperative Health Care Clinic
CHCC Coalition for Healthier Cities and Communities
CHCC Chattahoochee Hills County Club (Georgia) 
 hopes to accomplish through the workshops, sessions, meetings and events during the course of the four-day convention.

Antelope Valley Hispanic Chamber reps attending the convention include President Helen Acosta; Vice President/Membership Mario Guzman; Vice President/Economic Development Rudy Camarena; Vice President/Ways & Means Oscar Aleman Oscar Marcelo Alemán, (February 20, 1909 - October 14, 1980) was an Argentine jazz guitarist.

Oscar Marcelo Alemán, singer, dancer, entertainer, and guitarist extraordinaire, was born in Northern Argentina on February 20, 1909.
; Treasurer Carol Naves; Past President Sandy Corrales; directors Maria Chamberlain, Jackie Contreras and Rod Venegas; members Rocio Cabrales and Natalie Guzman; and Director of Operations Julian Medrano.

Guzman is vying for the position of parliamentarian par·lia·men·tar·i·an

 on the state Hispanic chamber board, and the A.V. Hispanic chamber is up for the ``Small Chamber of the Year'' award, which will be presented at a special dinner gala.

Workshops, seminars, business and procurement sessions will focus on international trade, chamber/organizational management and development, access to capital, business planning, workers' compensation workers' compensation, payment by employers for some part of the cost of injuries, or in some cases of occupational diseases, received by employees in the course of their work. , health care and other issues facing small business.

Featured speakers include Gov. Gray Davis; Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante; Sen. Barbara Boxer; Insurance Commissioner John Garamendi; Small Business Administration Administrator Hector Barreto; and CityVista President/CEO and former HUD Hud (hd), a pre-Qur'anic prophet of Islam. Hud unsuccessfully exhorted his South Arabian people, the Ad, to worship the One God.  Secretary Henry Cisneros.

The California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is the fastest growing regional business organization in California. Since 1978, the CHCC has worked together with over 60 Hispanic chambers of commerce to encourage business, industry, commerce and culture. It represents the interests of over 500,000 Hispanic businesses and promotes the economic development of Hispanic businesses and communities in California.
