VALENCIA - The Santa Clarita Valley The Santa Clarita Valley is the valley of the Santa Clara River in Southern California. It stretches through Los Angeles County and Ventura County. Its main population center is the city of Santa Clarita. The valley was part of the 48,612-acre (19,672.  Chamber of Commerce office will be closed today and Saturday as officials relocate re·lo·cate

The chamber, housed for nearly 20 years in what is now Santa Clarita Santa Clarita, city (1990 pop. 110,642), Los Angeles co., S Calif., suburb 30 mi (48 km) NW of downtown Los Angeles, on the Santa Clara River; inc. 1987. Situated in the Santa Clara valley and nearby canyons, Santa Clarita includes the former towns of Canyon Country,  City Hall, will leave a vacant front-corner office in the municipal building. City officials have not yet decided how to use that space, spokeswoman Gail Ortiz said Thursday.

Computer and phone systems will be down from 9 a.m. today through 9 a.m. Monday, barring any complications.

The chamber is moving to 28460 Ave. Stanford, Suite 100. The new phone number is (661) 702-697; the fax is (661) 702-6980.

The chamber's mission includes encouraging the growth of existing member businesses and industries, helping new firms that locate to the area and serving as a representative for all legislation affecting local business.
