"However, in July 2000 we introduced the new OXYMATIC Model 401 conserver and this product has enabled the company to begin to regain market share in the conserver market. In addition, the company has recently introduced the newest addition in our line of oxygen conservers, the OXYMATIC Model 411 conserver.

"This product utilizes every breath delivery technology and is designed to give homecare providers and patients the widest choice available from a single company of conservers to suit individual needs and preferences. Initial shipments of the OXYMATIC Model 411 conserver were made in January 2001, and the initial market reception along with the success to date of the Model 401 conserver is confirming the roles of these products as key elements of CHAD's strategic plan to regain market share in the conserver market."

Jones further stated: "While we are making some progress on increasing market penetration Noun 1. market penetration - the extent to which a product is recognized and bought by customers in a particular market

The international activity has been led by sales in Europe where the company's distributor recently introduced this product. Increased market penetration in the domestic market will depend, to some extent, on projects underway to reduce the unit cost of this product and thereby lower its selling price."

The success of these products will depend upon, among other things, the health-care community's perception of each product's capabilities and benefits, the degree of acceptance the products achieve among homecare providers and patients and, with respect to products under development, obtaining timely regulatory approval.
