Color Tuner is a complete proofing system combining automation, color management, high-speed output and proofing-specific ink and paper. Winner of the GATF (Graphic Arts Technical Foundation, Sewickley, PA, www.gain.net) A membership organization for the printing and graphics arts industries. Founded in 1924 as the Lithographic Technical Foundation, GATF supports offset lithography and other mechanical press technologies as well as the  InterTech Award, Color Tuner was the first system of its kind to be SWOP- and FOGRA-certified as well as PPA-accredited.

Color Tuner provides fast, accurate and continuous tone proofing, but for proofing half tone dots, ORIS ScreenDot Plus is the answer. ScreenDot Plus automatically applies ORIS' award-winning color management to screened 1-bit TIFF files from your RIP, and outputs a screened proof to an inkjet device, exactly reproducing the original halftone In printing, the simulation of a continuous-tone image (shaded drawing, photograph) with dots. All printing processes, except for Cycolor, print dots. In photographically generated halftones, a camera shoots the image through a halftone screen, creating smaller dots for lighter areas and  information.

CGS will demonstrate ORIS Color Tuner, ORIS ScreenDot Plus and its complete proofing system for the packaging industry at the InfoFlex Exhibition, booth 803.
