One of the most important goals of CGI is to provide software that is flexible enough to meet the evolving needs of an organization's individual business requirements. In keeping with this approach, CCI is introducing several exciting new features in the latest release of CGI Explorer, version 3.9. These new features have been developed to simplify and streamline the software, while maintaining the flexibility to meet each of our client's unique organizational needs.

CGI Explorer Business Application Framework forms the core software technology of CGI Membership enterprise applications, serving as the foundation on which all applications and products are developed. The 3.0 product enhancements increase the power and capabilities of the software, reduce overall development timelines and costs, and improve user experience.

The Process Pipeline Architecture technology allows businesses to evolve their software capabilities to reflect their organization's needs and adapt to a dynamic business climate. CGI's Process Pipeline Components provide a company with the tools necessary to define, create, and incorporate a new or redefined set of business rules directly into the CGI software easily, quickly, and inexpensively. These configurations can be accomplished by staff and in most cases do not require any programming. The use of a graphical user interface makes reconfiguring your software an intuitive process, allowing for easy modifications and configurations. In addition to streamlining the configuration process by defining business process logic, Process Pipeline also provides greater job scheduling options to optimize the use of your resources. Job Process functionality enables processes to be scheduled and executed automatically. Job Scheduler allows the user to define specific times or other criteria for initiation of business processes, providing scheduled job initiation to obtain maximum efficiencies.

Digital Dashboard allows users to define the content and appearance of their CCI working environment, bringing rich, active content to users in an intuitive interface. By controlling the information presented to them and adapting it to their job functions and preferences, users can maximize their productivity. Digital Dashboard allows users to define the appearance of the desktop, including displaying real time information from the database or a Web site.

Form Templates is a revolutionary new feature that allows online data entry forms to be configured for the specific needs of each department or user. Global data entry forms can be overridden at the department or end user level to display data in a way that is most meaningful for each user. Form Templates break down the data entry forms into logical parts that can be added, removed, renamed, or rearranged by the system administrator or end users, depending on their security access. These configurable parts include reports, individual fields, groups of fields, grids, and tabs. Form Templates give different organizations, departments, and end users the power to configure their CCI Explorer user interface, so relevant information is no more than a mouse-click away. Using the CCI Form Templates, each user can view data in a way that is most intuitive for his or her job responsibilities.

In addition to these major architectural enhancements (Process Pipeline, Digital Dashboard, and Form Templates), additional changes in CGI Explorer 3.0 include

* Bulk E-mail Messaging enhancements provide an HTML interface including graphics, links, and interactive information to create templates for professional-looking e-mails, personalized with information from the CGI database. Prepare marketing campaigns by segmenting groups in the database to target selected audiences for conferences and meetings, committee news, fundraising events, and products.

* New Security and Entity Configuration options let administrators define permissions for reading or editing data at a lower level by using Field Level Security, and set additional validation logic with Field Validation.

CGI Explorer 3.0 employs a more business-centric approach to the entire user experience, with customized views of the CCI home page, grouping related services based on an individual's business priorities, and a more intuitive business processing environment.
