CG&E Advises Non-Residential Customers on Avoiding Certain Additional Electric Charges.

 of Cinergy Cinergy Corp. was an energy company based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Cinergy was created on October 24, 1994, from the merger of the Cincinnati Gas & Electric Company (CG&E) with PSI Energy and later included Union Light, Heat & Power (ULH&P) as well.  Corp., today advised its non-residential customers that they can avoid certain new electric rate charges that will be reflected beginning with January 2005 electric bills, if they switch to an alternative electric supplier. Currently, about 20 percent of non-residential customers have switched suppliers.

Non-residential customers will have the opportunity to avoid certain new charges, if they meet notification requirements and switch to an alternative electric supplier through December 31, 2008. If the customer returns to CG&E generation service prior to January 1, 2009, the customer will pay the highest cost of power incurred by CG&E for each hour of service.
