CFT Consulting hires Melissa Shields as consultant; Adding systems and control engineering capabilities.

SARASOTA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 7, 1997--CFT Consulting Inc., a retail and supply-chain systems and management consulting firm based in Sarasota, announced Tuesday that Melissa Shields has joined the company as a consultant and will initially perform systems testing and implementation as part of CFT's point-of-sale selection and implementation project at totes Inc., one of CFT's major clients.

Shields recently earned a B.S. degree in system and control engineering from the University of West Florida. She is also a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. CFT will interface a new POS and back office system to the AS/400-based host retail system at totes and will also implement XBR Exec for merchandise reporting.
