Services, a nationwide provider of managed telecom infrastructure services, today announced the appointment of Tom McCambridge to the newly established position of COO, leading engineering and operations for CFN.

"As we continue to build our business around improving the economics of transport networks for carriers and large enterprises, we are extremely excited to have attracted someone of Tom's caliber," said Mark Casey, President of CFN Services. "Tom knows the local fiber and transport business inside and out, having managed one of the largest CLEC (Competitive Local Exchange Carrier) An organization offering local telephone service that is not one of the traditional telephone companies. The Telecommunications Act of 1996 allowed competition to the incumbent telcos (ILECs), enabling new companies (CLECs)  operations nationwide, including integration of the MFS MFS Medicare fee schedule , Brooks, and MCI (1) (Media Control Interface) A high-level programming interface from Microsoft and IBM for controlling multimedia devices. "Having lived the access challenge first hand at MCI over the past ten years, I'm extremely excited about what CFN is doing to improve local access transport economics for wireline and wireless network operators," said McCambridge. "We look forward to establishing a new paradigm New Paradigm
