CERIDIAN NAMES TURNER NEW COMPUTING DEVICES INTERNATIONAL PRESIDENT

MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Ceridian Corporation (NYSE: CEN) announced today that Ronald L. Turner has been named president of Computing Devices International, effective Jan. 18. He will report to Lawrence Perlman, chairman and chief executive officer of Ceridian.
Computing Devices International solves information management problems in civil and defense government agencies worldwide by providing system integration services and electronic systems.
Turner comes to Ceridian from GEC-Marconi Electronic Systems Corporation where he was president and chief executive officer. Prior to joining GEC he held several positions at Martin Marietta Corporation, including vice president of the electronics systems division, vice president for the Pershing missile program and head of the corporation's strategic planning activities.
Turner holds an M.S. in management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an M.S. in Engineering from the University of Florida and a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Tennessee.
"Ron Turner brings to Ceridian a combination of operations and marketing experience, strategic perspective and leadership ability," said Perlman. "His nineteen years of extensive and diverse experience in the defense electronics and aerospace systems industry will help Computing Devices International continue to grow."
Turner is succeeding Roger Handberg, who will continue as executive vice president of Ceridian and will assume broad operational and strategic responsibilities for the entire corporation. "Roger Handberg has made a substantial contribution to building the business that is now Computing Devices International," said Perlman. "His emphasis on the strategic management process resulted in growth as well as sharper focus on selected market segments for this business. I look forward to working with Roger in the overall management of Ceridian."
