) today stated that he exercised options to purchase 163,000 shares of the Company's stock and sold those shares on the open market on August 3, 1998. Mr. Cecil continues to have beneficial ownership of approximately 1.3 million shares of Plantronics stock, representing approximately 7.1% of the diluted shares of the Company.
