CEO Boot Camp to Focus on Early Landmines To Survive and Thrive in New Positions; Korn/Ferry, Wharton Club of New York & PrimeGenesis Join for Event with Aim to Slash the 40% New Executive Failure Rate.

NEW YORK -- Korn/Ferry International, The Wharton Club of New York and PrimeGenesis have joined together to create a "boot camp" for CEOs that focuses on how to generate positive results quickly in new, high-risk positions.

The one-day boot camp will host its initial corps of CEOs on May 11 at the Penn Club in New York City.

"The number of demands that a new CEO encounters today is unprecedented," says Joe Griesedieck, vice-chairman and managing director of the CEO practice at Korn/Ferry International, the executive recruiting firm that will select and invite the participants. "We've created the 'boot camp' concept to help equip CEO's for the myriad of challenges and intense scrutiny they face in their early days."

Included among the skills to be worked on are bridging the gap between strategy and execution, self assessment, building high-performing teams and learning how to accomplish in 100 days what might otherwise take six months or longer.
