CENTRAL JERSEY CLASS OF 2000 TO KICK OFF 'DEAR MR. PRESIDENT' CONTEST
 What: Central Jersey Class of 2000 1992-1993 school year kickoff
 to introduce "Dear Mr. President" contest. The "Dear
 Mr. President" contest, sponsored by Central Jersey
 Bank, was created to involve students in this year's
 presidential election and the electoral process. Each
 student is asked to write a letter to the newly elected
 president of the United States answering the question,
 "Why is education important to our nation?"
 Special guest Rona Parker, New Jersey press secretary for
 U.S. Sen. Bill Bradley (D-N.J.), will be the keynote
 speaker.
 When: Friday, Oct. 16, 11 a.m.
 Where: Upper Freehold Regional Elementary School, 27 High St.,

 The "Dear Mr. President" contest is just one component of this year's Central Jersey Class of 2000 program. The Central Jersey Class of 2000 program is a non-profit corporate/educational partnership sponsored by Central Jersey Bank.
 More than 300 fifth-grade classes at more than 200 schools in central New Jersey are participating in the "Dear Mr. President" contest. The contest was designed to help teachers educate their students about our nation's democratic process and to encourage classroom discussion about the presidential election.
 The Central Jersey Class of 2000 program is open to all students in the graduating class of 2000 in Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, Somerset and Union counties.
