CENTER NEEDS FOOD, MONEY ROOM IS SCARCE TO STORE MORE CLOTHING DONATIONS.

BURBANK - The Burbank Temporary Aid Center, faced with less space at its current location and changing community needs, is renewing efforts to limit clothing donations and boost its focus on food and funds for the needy.

Since last July, BTAC has spent $35,000 helping 560 residents with utility payments - more than double its usual spending.

``We're finding more and more people are having to come to us because they put their resources where they should, which is keeping a roof over their family's head,'' Howell said.
