CEMEX Employees Help Keep Houston Beautiful for Second Time this Year; East Downtown Houston Neighborhood Cleanup Scheduled.


WHAT:     Establishing a tradition, an estimated 60 CEMEX employees
          and their families, including many top level executives,
          will clean up Houston's Chinatown neighborhood. The cleanup
          will involve clearing litter and dirt from the roadsides,
          mowing grass and edging around the sidewalks.

WHO:      Approximately 60 CEMEX employee volunteers and family
          members.

WHERE:    Chinatown neighborhood. Volunteers will meet at the 1400
          block of Chartres Street, bounded by Bell and Clay.

WHEN:     October 29, 2005 from 8 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
          (Media sign-in and packets available on site)
