: CX) announced today the construction of a new cement mill A cement mill (or finish mill in North American usage[1]) is the equipment used to grind the hard, nodular clinker from the cement kiln into the fine grey powder that is cement. Most cement is currently ground in ball mills.  in its operations in Panama. The construction of the new grinding grinding, process by which surface material is removed from an object, usually metal, by the abrasive action of a rotating wheel or a moving belt that contains abrasive grains.  facility is expected to be completed in 2007.

The new plant construction is part of a series of investments totaling US$70 million dollars planned for 2005 and 2006, designated to concrete operations and the construction of the new grinding facility.

The overall objective of this investment plan is to guarantee the supply of cement in Panama to serve the diverse projects that are currently being undertaken in the country.
