CEM REPORTS RECORD SALES AND EARNINGS FOR SECOND QUARTER AND FIRST FISCAL HALF.CHARLOTTE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 19, 1995--CEM Corporation (NASDAQ/NM:CEMX) today announced record sales and earnings for the second fiscal quarter and six months ended December 31, 1994. For the six months ended December 31, 1994, net sales were up 7% to $15.5 million compared with $14.5 million last year. Net income for the first half of fiscal 1995 was $1.5 million versus $1.3 million in the first half of fiscal 1994. Earnings per share amounted to $0.40 per share on 3.8 million average shares outstanding, an increase of 21% compared with $0.33 per share on 4.0 million average shares outstanding a year ago.
