Brown picked up the man-of-the-match award in Sunday's Old Firm derby clash at Hampden, which his side won 2-0 after extra-time.

Leaders Celtic face a tricky trip to Dundee United on Sunday, and Brown insists their League Cup final triumph will be forgotten by the time they arrive at Tannadice.

"Winning the cup gives us a boost, but that is it. Rangers will battle back," Brown said.

"They are determined to win the league as well, so we can't get carried away.

"Sunday was brilliant, but we'll have the serious heads on this week in training.

"There's a few games to go, so the hard work starts again.

"I don't think we could have picked a harder match to come back into the league with. Dundee United are a good side.

"Every time we go to Tannadice, they make it tough for us. We drew 1-1 there earlier in the season, and it will be difficult again"

Brown, though, believes the manner of Celtic's performance at Hampden can aid them in their title quest.

"I thought we did really well for the whole match," said Brown. "We created a lot of chances and managed to make the most of them."
